1.Examination and follow-up from first visit
Depends on the individuals’ stage and condition of vision, the doctor consider whether it should be follow-up or operation be done.

2. Decision of the operation
The doctor would explain about the condition of your eye, and you will have some examinations if the operation is deemed necessary.
※About the timing of the operation, it depends on individuals conditions.

3. Examinations required
Once the date is determined, you need to have some preoperative examination to decide the diopter of the intraocular lenses and see whether there are other symptoms or disease on your body or not, in detail. (E.g.: Blood sampling, Corneal endothelial cell test, Blood oxygenation level check, etc.) These will be done at a later date, so please make the reservation.
Because you will need to see the doctor after all the result of examinations is revealed, it’s is required to come to our clinic at least twice.

Reception
·Please visit with attendant person 1-2 hours before surgery.
·Do not forget appointment slip, health insurance card, patient registration and the letter of consent.

Waiting room
·Just in case, all the accessary including nail polish, and make-up should be taken off.
·It is better to come with clothes which can be worn without putting your head through, however, there is a rental surgical gown too.
·Putting eyedrop several times and you will be put intravenous drip.

Surgical room
·Having a seat and turn on a monitor.
·The doctor would put anesthetic eye drop or injection.
·If we look just at the operation, it only takes about 10-20 min.

Recovery room
·After the operation, we ask you to take a rest for a while
·There is a postoperative explanation, and we ask you to listen to it with your attendant and go back to your home with that person.

How to operate the surgery
Generally it tends to be done with phacoemulsification that remains the outline of crystalline lens and take away only the inside of it.
